Project Coordinator - BCC & Training - Job Code-1434

The Centre for Stem Cell Research (a unit of inStem, Bengaluru) and Christian Medical College, Vellore in collaboration with National Health Mission, Odisha invites applications on purely temporary basis for the post of Project Coordinator (BCC & Training) to work under the project titled: ‘Control of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease in Odisha’.

Work Location: 

Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Should be ready to travel extensively in remote areas of Odisha.

Eligibility and requirements:

Essential:

  • Health graduate with training in health education /MPH / MSW/ PG in Mass communications/ MBA in Public Relations/ MBA in Media Management/, Masters in Mass Communication (MMC) / MMC in Audio Visual / PGD in Advertising / Marketing communications / Public Relations
  • A minimum of 2-5 years experience in working with NGO/Govt. program implementation/ health education/capacity building/training in health /development sector.
  • Should have strong written and oral communication skills in English, Hindi, and Odia
  • Ready to travel extensively in Odisha.

Desirable:

  • Age - not more than 35 years.
  • Knowledge about computer applications; such as MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
  • Skills in report writing, communication and Media management.
  • Well versed in handling different, vendor types relevant to the communication development
  • Experience in managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs.
  • Proven track record of handling multi-media campaigns at the state/national level.

Deliverables:

  • Provide support for the technical works related to BCC activities and capacity building for the project, as also interfacing between the project and the multimedia creative, media planning & implementing agencies.
  • Identify and involve existing communication channels in a systematic manner, regularly monitor for opportunities, and share with relevant team members.
  • Oversee and evaluate all the BCC campaigns in collaboration with project staff and research agencies.
  • Map out annual training plans for the project activities and the capacity building of staff and health workers.
  • Design and develop training programs
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Support the development and editing of concept notes and proposals to be submitted to CSCR and government counterparts.
  • Coordinate with colleagues in the program team to compile the information required for developing concept notes and resource materials of communication.
