MGR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 aim\u00a0 of\u00a0 this\u00a0 \u00a0meeting\u00a0 is\u00a0 \u00a0to provide a\u00a0 forum\u00a0 for scientists and physicians\u00a0 working\u00a0 in\u00a0 this field of research to meet and discuss\u00a0 \u00a0 recent developments. We are\u00a0 organizing the\u00a0 <strong>10th Annual Symposium <\/strong>on<strong> Cell and Gene Therapy <\/strong>on<strong> Friday 10th and Saturday 11th October 2025 <\/strong>at<strong> the Centre for Stem Cell Research, Vellore.<\/strong> Research in regenerative medicine is rapidly evolving in the world today. There has been a dramatic resurgence worldwide in the field of cell and gene therapy. Several advances have taken place in the technologies related to viral vector and non-viral vector-mediated gene transfer methods. The area of gene editing has also seen significant progress. Success in early phase trials has allowed more advanced clinical studies to be undertaken. Various developments are taking place in India also both in academia and industry.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this year\u2019s event, we are also organizing a workshop on <strong>CSCR Core facilities<\/strong> on<strong> Thursday, October 9, 2025<\/strong>. This workshop will provide participants with an in-depth overview of the facilities along with hands-on experience in advanced techniques<\/p>\n<p><strong>The areas of focus in this year\u2019s symposium include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cell And Gene Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Gene Editing Applications<\/li>\n<li>New Frontier of Cell Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Metabolic Disorders and Novel Therapeutic Strategies<\/li>\n<li>Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) And Their Secretome<\/li>\n<li>Organoids and Disease Modelling<\/li>\n<li>Advances in Precision Therapeutics<\/li>\n<li>Microbial Infections: Challenges and Way Forward<\/li>\n<li>Population Screening &amp; Management of Genetic Disorders<\/li>\n<li>Cell Therapy for Hematological Malignancy<\/li>\n<li>Molecular Genetics of Inherited Diseases<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing and Regulatory Aspects<\/li>\n<li>Technology Advances<\/li>\n<li>Immune Modulation in Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Industry updates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program this year reflects some of the subjects which are of current interest in the world as well in the country and where there is active work going on for some time or is being evolved at different centers in the country. We are fortunate to have among our speakers some of the global leaders in the field. This meeting has been structured to facilitate discussion both during formal presentations at the scientific sessions and through informal discussions and interactions during the breaks.
