The CSCR community came together on 18th December 2025 to celebrate the inauguration of its brand-new badminton court, a facility eagerly awaited by students and faculty alike.

The ceremony began with an inspiring address by Prof. Judy Ann John, Vice Principal (HR) and Professor of PMR, who spoke about the importance of sports in building teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. Her words set the tone for the day, reminding everyone that the court is more than just a place to play—it is a space to grow together.

The formal opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome to the chief guest and dignitaries by the Head of CSCR. Adding to the celebratory spirit, Mr. Balaganesh, Physical Director, shared a few words with the gathering.

The highlight of the occasion was the cake-cutting ceremony, joined by Mr. Balaganesh and the engineering team—Mr. Jesudass, Mrs. Indumathi J, and Mr. Muthukrishnan, whose efforts made the court a reality.

To commemorate the day, a friendly exhibition match was played by some of the finest players. Their energy, skill, and sportsmanship drew loud cheers from the crowd, as spectators enjoyed fast rallies and smashing shots that brought the court alive.

Beyond sports, the new badminton court is envisioned as a hub for bonding, relaxation, and fun. Whether for serious practice sessions, spirited competitions, or casual evening games with friends, the facility promises to be a vibrant space for everyone.
